The issues with cracked wheels can range from a slow air leak to a catastrophic failure of the rim. Neglecting to repair the wheel after the damage occurs, and continuing to drive on it can and most likely will cause further damage to the rim by widening and spreading of the crack. This can render the wheel non-repairable in some cases!
Repairing cracked wheels is an extremely delicate and time consuming process, which use TIG welders and knowledge of alloy metallurgy processes needed to complete a safe and reliable repair. Do not use quick fix sealing solutions such as sealing compounds or epoxies. These rarely work and do nothing for the structural integrity of the wheel. The issue is more substantial than that. Furthermore, use of these products will effect the proper repair of the wheel and in many cases render the wheel non-repairable!

Any wheel, no matter how slightly bent, MAY crack during the straightening process. We take every precaution to maintain the integrity of your wheel throughout this process. However, if in the event your wheel does crack and is not repairable, we will not charge for time and labor spent while trying to straighten the wheel, however you the customer will be responsible for the cost of the replacement wheel and trip charge. Not all wheels are repairable, for safety reasons or structural compromise it may be less expensive to replace with a new or reconditioned wheel.
